Products
What products does LiVAP sell?
LiVAP sells three categories of smart pet products: automatic pet feeders for scheduled dry food dispensing, pet water fountains with replaceable activated carbon filters, and self-cleaning litter boxes with app control. All food- and water-contact surfaces use 304 stainless steel or BPA-free materials.
Are LiVAP products suitable for both cats and dogs?
Yes. Our feeders and water fountains are designed for cats and small-to-medium dogs. The self-cleaning litter box is designed for cats only, up to approximately 15 lbs. Check the individual product page for specific size and weight guidelines before purchasing.
What type of food do the smart feeders support?
Our feeders are designed for standard dry kibble only. They are not compatible with wet food, raw food, semi-moist food, or treats. Using wet food will clog the dispensing mechanism and may cause the motor to fail. If your pet is on a wet food diet, this product is not a good fit.
Do I need Wi-Fi to use a LiVAP smart feeder or fountain?
Basic scheduled feeding can be set directly on the device without Wi-Fi. A Wi-Fi connection is required to use the companion app for remote control, schedule changes, and notifications. The device will continue to run its saved schedule even if your internet connection goes down.
What happens if the power goes out?
The feeder will not dispense during a power outage. It resumes its saved schedule when power is restored. We recommend pairing the feeder with a small USB battery bank as a backup. A mid-sized power bank can typically keep the feeder running for 12 to 24 hours depending on its capacity.
Are the materials safe for my pet?
Yes. All food- and water-contact surfaces use 304 stainless steel or BPA-free materials. We do not use materials containing BPA, phthalates, or other substances known to be harmful to pets or humans. We recommend washing food and water components regularly according to the product instructions.
Smart Features & Setup
How do I set up my LiVAP smart feeder or fountain?
Each product comes with a printed setup guide. For most feeders, setup involves filling the food tank, plugging in the USB cable, setting the time on the device, and programming your feeding schedule. The companion app provides step-by-step guidance. If you run into any issues during setup, email us at support@livap.com and we will walk you through it.
Can I schedule multiple meals per day?
Yes. The LiVAP smart feeder supports up to 6 scheduled meals per day. For each meal you can set the time and portion size independently. This makes it well suited for pets on a vet-recommended portion-controlled diet.
Can I control the feeder or fountain when I am away from home?
Yes, if your device is connected to Wi-Fi and the companion app is installed on your phone. Through the app you can trigger an immediate feeding, adjust the schedule, and receive notifications. If your Wi-Fi goes down while you are away, the device will continue running its last saved schedule.
Will the smart feeder work with multiple pets?
The feeder dispenses into a single bowl on a set schedule and does not distinguish between individual pets. If you have multiple pets with different dietary needs or portion requirements, we recommend using separate feeders placed in different locations.
How loud is the feeder motor? Will it scare my pet?
The motor produces a low mechanical sound during dispensing, similar to a quiet kitchen appliance. Most pets adjust within a few days. To help your pet get comfortable, run a manual dispense cycle while you are present before relying on the schedule. Particularly anxious pets may take a little longer to adapt.
Water Fountains
Why should I use a pet water fountain instead of a regular bowl?
Cats are instinctively drawn to moving water — still water in the wild is more likely to carry bacteria. Many cats drink more from a circulating fountain, which can support kidney and urinary health. Veterinarians frequently recommend fountains for cats prone to urinary issues or for senior cats who need to increase fluid intake. That said, some pets simply prefer a bowl, and that is fine too.
How often do I need to change the filter?
We recommend replacing the activated carbon filter every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on how many pets use the fountain and the hardness of your local water. Signs the filter needs replacing include reduced water flow or a change in smell.
How do I clean the water fountain?
Disassemble the fountain fully and rinse all parts with warm water weekly. Most components are dishwasher safe on the top rack — check your product manual to confirm. Clean the pump by hand with a small brush. We recommend a full deep clean every 2 weeks to prevent biofilm buildup.
Purchase Information
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept PayPal as our payment method. PayPal allows you to pay using your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a credit or debit card — even if you do not have a PayPal account. Your payment is processed securely through PayPal's encrypted platform. We do not store your card details.
Are there any hidden fees or subscription charges?
No. LiVAP does not charge hidden fees, platform fees, or membership fees of any kind. We do not enroll customers in auto-renewing subscriptions. The price shown on the product page is the price you pay, plus applicable sales tax based on your shipping address. You will never be charged after your order is placed unless you place a new order yourself.
Is it safe to pay on livap.com?
Yes. All payments are processed through PayPal, which uses industry-standard SSL encryption. LiVAP does not directly handle or store your payment card information. PayPal also offers buyer protection on eligible purchases, which gives you an additional layer of security.
Do I need a PayPal account to check out?
No. When you reach the PayPal checkout page, look for the option that says "Pay with Debit or Credit Card." This allows you to complete your purchase as a guest without creating a PayPal account.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address and applied at checkout where required by law. The tax amount is shown clearly before you complete your purchase. There are no surprise charges after checkout.
Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
We process orders quickly. If you need to cancel or change your order, email us at support@livap.com as soon as possible with your order number. We will do our best to make changes before the order ships, but we cannot guarantee modifications once an order has entered processing. If the order has already shipped, our return policy applies.
Orders & Shipping
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free standard shipping on all orders to addresses in the United States and Canada. No minimum order amount is required and no coupon code is needed.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days. After dispatch, estimated delivery is 5 to 10 business days for US addresses and 7 to 15 business days for Canadian addresses. These are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. If tracking has not updated within 5 business days of your shipping confirmation, email us at support@livap.com.
Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or P.O. Boxes?
We ship to Alaska and Hawaii as part of our standard free US shipping. We do not currently ship to P.O. boxes, APO addresses, or FPO addresses.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. Items must be unused and in their original condition with all original packaging. To start a return, email support@livap.com with your order number and reason for return. We will respond within 1 to 2 business days with instructions.
What if my item arrived damaged or defective?
Contact us at support@livap.com within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the item and packaging. We will arrange a replacement, exchange, or full refund at no cost to you.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect your return, we process refunds within 5 to 7 business days. Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 3 to 5 business days for the funds to appear. You will receive a confirmation email when the refund is processed.
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes. Email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the item you would like instead. Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the item you want is no longer in stock, we will issue a full refund.
